i would go with a shorter cut, n dont worry go to a good hair dresser they shouldnt mess up

A lot of emo hair cuts I've seen were cut by the person wearing them. I think there is no messing up an emo cut!

I think you should cut your hair yourself.

Thats the only way to get true "emo" hair, if thats what you're going for. Don't worry just trim off bits at a time and it won't turn out badly. Get help for the back though.

If you do decide to go to a hair dresser, talk to them a bit first, at least until you feel comfortable that they will do a good job.
