Do YOU CUT UR OWN HAIR?? EMO/SCENE?

well, im not scene or emo, but one night i decided i wanted the exact same style you had (which i have now, yayy!) So i took a shower and ranomly cut my hair all around my head. i cut my bangs too short, but now they are exactly the same as the girl in your picture. i used me index and middle finger and tilted them to the side and cut along my fingers for a sloped cut. now, im completely happy with my hair. but i actually really think you should cut your hair at a proffesional salon

First, Do not cut your own hair. Secondly, I dont know what your hair looks like or what salons you have been to in the past, but who ever had cut your hair before might not be giving the right cut for your hair texture. Keep in mind that no stylist does things the same exact way another stylist does. You also need to be styling it correctly and from that picture I'm 100% positive you'll need a flat iron. Yes, its mostly the hair cut that will give you what you're looking for but you still won't get it just right unless you style it correctly as well. I used to cut my own hair in high school and looking back on it, my hair was a disaster so I would not encourage you to d.i.y. You may have to spend a bit more money than you're willing to to get that perfect hair cut, because essentially, you get what you pay for. At most salons you can set up just a consultation with a stylist to go over the look you're trying to achieve. If you're not exactly right on with the stylist you're consulting with you can always see a different one. Be patient! Put the scissors down!! :D

go to a more upscale salon. Like, one that you actually have to make an appointment. You will probably be paying like $30 to $45 for a haircut but it's worth it, your hair will look much better!! And then after you see how a pro did your hair, it will be easier for you to just trim it yourself.
