ok so the thing is dat i want a new hair do coz it actually sucks a lot... so was wondering how can i do it myself...?? if i hav to use hair straighteners n all then pls tell me how harmful will it be for my hair...

To obtain the 'emo' look (even though emo is a music genre, and wasn't intended to be a style.), I would suggest going to a salon with a picture of how you want your hair. it usually means a lot of texturing and choppy cuts.. and straightners. The straightner can be kinda bad for your hair, but it makes it look pretty. =] Also, try using hair spray and pomades to help the hair stick up or smooth down. Good luck =]

Pomades (also called pomatum) is a greasy or waxy substance that is used to style hair. Pomade makes hair look slick and shiny. Unlike hair spray and hair gel, pomade does not dry and often takes several washes to remove.

Straighters can be pretty damaging to your hair if you do it every single day. Use some heat protection spray this will prevent it being of too much damage.
